Volume 7 Dead Likeness is nearly ready

Dead Likeness is finally written. It is undergoing beta reading and proofreading. It has taken me longer to write than I expected. A stay in hospital for an operation delayed things. Maybe also I am slowing down, or maybe it has been more complicated to write. A recent month in our beloved Penang saw the final half dozen chapters in the first draft. I have yet to find and compile the photographs of all the locations. I have the cover designed, so hopefully it should be published soon.

I am worried that another story is not yet in my mind. Usually by this stage, I have already got the idea for the next book, but not this time. This is distressing because I cannot imagine being without a book to write. However, the story has to carry my enthusiasm for many months. During the writing of a novel, there are inevitably some tough times. You need a strong desire to see it done and enjoy bringing it to completion. As Drake might say, I wonder, I wonder.
